Keyboard doesn’t work and BIOS is asking for password.

When I boot into my computer, the keyboard turns on but immediatly shuts off (same with my mouse) when I enter the BIOS screen. My BIOS is managed by AORUS. I have a reddragon keyboard and mouse, and using any keys to restart my keyboard fails to work.

    Hello

Per rule: 13. We will not assist with recovery of or figuring out of system passwords, PINs, or 2FA codes for any reason.

That’s not what I‘m asking, I’m saying that my keyboard and mouse shut off so I can’t type anything, I already know my password, that’s not what I need assistance with.

Try another keyboard and if your MB has PS/2 type ports a wired one always works best.

In addition to the above, if using a USB type keyboard, make sure that it is connected to one of the black USB 2.0 type ports and check any batteries that the keyboard may require.

My keyboard works just fine while my computer is turning on, but when the password box pops up, my mouse and keyboard just shut off. I know they are working, but it might be a driver error when the computer fully starts. I could troubleshoot, but I can’t get away from the password screen as it requires a functional keyboard. (I know keyboard works when computer starts because of the LED lights turning on and then back off when password box shows up.)

I also don’t have another available keyboard.

Did you recently update the BIOS?

              From where?

Have you tried putting in the password and pressing enter to see if it is accepted?

BIOS was not recently updated. I meant that I couldn’t type in the password which could let me boot into my computer. I‘ve already tried typing it in to see if it still worked, with no success.
