What monitor do you have? Most should have 2 HDMI outputs on the back, or at least multiple outputs. If so, you could try running 2 different cables and switching the input in the monitor’s UI.
I don’t have any specific brand however I wouldn’t recommend buying any cheap brand & if possible buy from somewhere like Amazon where you can return the splitter if it doesn’t work or is not suitable.
@Pyro I have a Samsung C24F390 24-inch, there is 1 VGA and 1 HDMI
I didn’t think about it but, as I don’t care about the performance of the office laptop, I could just buy a VGA-HDMI adapter for it and leave the HDMI to the desktop.
