Hello everyone,
to start, this is my setup:
In terms of monitors，I currently use one AOC U28P2U 28" 4K through the ASRock’s HDMI port and one older 1080p Dell monitor through the ASRock’s VGA port. Now, I want to replace the latter monitor with another 4k AOC U28P2U monitor. However, my problem is that my setup as it stands only has the following graphic outputs: HDMI, DVI-D, D-Sub (one of each). The AOC monitor has two HDMI ports and one Display Port 1.2.
Now, my question is whether there is any way I can run a second 4k monitor with my setup or whether I would need to upgrade my motherboard/graphics card in order to do so. I am thinking whether any sort of adapter would allow me to add a HDMI port or transform one of the current other graphics ports into a HDMI port. I would want to be able to run the second 4k monitor separately (i.e. I am not interested in mirroring with a HDMI splitter) and at the same resolution/hz rate as the first 4k monitor.
