Is your graphics card driver up to date? There’s been a recent release for Intel & nVidia drivers.
Do you have a desktop theme active which changes the taskbar colour when the wallpaper changes? If yes then try a theme which has a default/one taskbar colour.
Is Windows up to date? There was a new cumulative update released yesterday (24th).

really long shot, but after 4 different mice, wireless vs cable, and still have the issue, what is still the common factor?
      mouse pad… maybe?

try a folded piece of A4 paper and see if anything improves.

Hi, thanks for the reply, my windows are up to date. I have tried all the tricks in the trade other than inside the brain of the computer. I have purchased two new wireless mouse as well. This problem started months ago with little interference, it just became worse over time! I purchased a new graphics card and it still freeze and become sticky!

ones with images on them???

I’m trying to get you to use a plain piece of paper, in case, just in case, the mouse is picking up the lines on the image and making it do weird things.
yes it’s a bloody long bow to draw, but I’ve seen coloured/imaged pads do stupid things with laser mouses (mice?).

Maybe it is a software conflict, have you tried a clean boot

How to do a clean boot in windows.

While you are in the clean boot mode, download and run KillEmAll.

Then start your game and check if the issue is still present.

                    What about my other questions?
Is the graphics card driver up to date?
Are you using any desktop themes other than the default ones?

All is up to date, the PC technician that was initially had out of last hope re-installed windows and made some settings, but like I said before, he gave up and left!

Which desktop theme are you using? It may seem an irrelevant question but as mentioned if the theme changes the taskbar colour regularly this can freeze games or other heavy graphics programs.

My desktop is Microsoft theme with pictures changing in time. Could low power from the PSU cause the freeze? This freeze or stickiness only happen when graphics become active!

Try changing the theme to a default one picture theme & continue to monitor the freeze. Also there has been an out of band cumulative update released so ensure you have downloaded this.
