Hi everyone. I have a mini pc with AMD Ryzen 5 3450u processor and LG monitor with integrated speakers. When I plug the headphones, audio does not automatically switch to them, I have to manually go to sound settings and select headphones as default in order to make them work. I tried various solutions, as unistalling AMD High Definition Audio Device drivers and reboot, installing Realtek drivers, but still nothing. Now I really don’t know what can I try to do. Any help, please?
My PC does not automatically switch between speakers and headphones

I already tried method 2, that is uninstalling audio drivers, but nothing. Also, method 1 does not work for me. For clarity, I attach a screenshot of my device manager. Audio driver realtive to headphones is USB Audio Device.

I tried uninstalling both USB Audio Device and AMD High Definition Audio Device.Comment

This is the first time that you have mentioned anything related to USB devices
You best post the brand and model name or number of the headphones themselves.
How headphones and speakers normally work, you plug in a 3.5mm or a mini headphone connector, the BIOS detects this then disables the rear audio ports, this not the same with USB headphones as USB ports are not dedicated to any one type of device.
Short version, you cannot prioritise USB headphones over the onboard audio, you have to change it manually.Comment

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.
To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:
In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.
In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.
Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.Comment

Best thing that you can do is disconnect all USB/external devices, webcam printer, the headphone jack, disconnect the lot, then do a Windows 10 reset, second option here do this then post back here, include a new Speccy url for us, do not do anything else first and especially not allow Windows to check for updates, we need a clean slate.Comment

Computer issues can drive you to such lengths so you are not on your own.
To avoid you being asked for an update every couple of days we will close this thread until you have the time available to work towards resolving the issue, PM a member of staff when you are ready and the thread can be reopened.
You are welcomeComment
