    Computer Setup

    Hello,

I currently decided to build a new gaming pc and I’m stumped. I have installed the CPU and fan : motherboard installed - have everything plugged in but can’t seem to get the power button for the case to work. I have a x570 Taichi motherboard - picture attached - have the audio and usb connected looked at the manual for the motherboard and hooked it up just like it says but still won’t turn on. Power to the motherboard works.

Any help would be great - if you need more pictures let me know

the front panel header has the PWR LED, PWR SW and Reset cables attached?
the power supply unit is connected to the mobo via the 24pin connector?
and via the 4 or 8 pin CPU power connector?
the memory sticks are seated correctly?
do you have an extra graphics card installed?

this should all be in the mobo manual by the way - did you get stuck any where?

Yes everything is plugged into the power supply correctly- looked at the MB manual on how to plug in the panel header - when I switch the power Button the motherboard lights up (which it’s suppose to be but when I click the tower power button nothing happens nothing turns on

I have a graphics card VGA plugs into the power supply but didn’t hook that up yet

Assuming the tower power cable isn’t connected properly (yeah I know), you can short out those two header pins on the front panel header with anything metallic.

does the pc turn on fine if you press that mobo power button where the front panel header is?
