I have a rescue USB stick that runs automatically when plugged in to deal with an Asus pc problems.
That pc is irretrievably dead (nothing to do with the recovery stick) Is there any way I can erase the data to re-use the stick.? I hate to throw out potentially usable stuff.
Press the Windows key or click the Windows icon in the lower-left corner of your desktop. Type in autoplay and click on the AutoPlay Settings option. From this screen, toggle AutoPlay For All Media And Devices to Off. Also switch AutoPlay defaults for removable drives and memory cards to Take No Action.
Then when this is done go to my computer find the usb drive and just format the drive..
