    Webcam Help Needed Urgently

    Hi Everyone

Can someone out there help me out, I’ve just purchased a 2k HD webcam, its Hiievpu, and I understand it’s plug and play.
Me not being computer savvy, I plugged it into a usb port and saw a power indicator light come on the camera and that was it.
I then tried clicking around on the computer settings and eventually found camera which I clicked and immediately I could see myself on the monitor moving about.

My question is how do I go about testing the camera’s microphone which is built in, plus test for sound which I assume should come out of my desktop speakers.

A card which came with camera reads “Enclosed please find a software for Webcam testing which you can download to make a test for the camera and microphone at any time.
    Download Address: https://amcap.en.softonic.com/
I’ve managed to download the software and clicked on the software Help and been presented with a list as below:

    Overview and Features

    System Requirements

    Copyright Information

    End User Licence Agreement

    Keyboard and Mouse Commands

    Purchasing the Full Version

    Main Window

    Menu Options

    Setup Window

    Analog TV and Radio

    Video

    Still

So how do I go about testing if I can hear anything and also test to see if I can be heard??

I’m a silver surfer so it does not take a lot to confuse me and I know a lot of things computer wise comes these days assuming the user knows and understands all there is to know about IT.

I hope Iv’e posted this in the correct section and can some kind sole help me out.

    Thank you

    Clive

with the webcam plugged in, right click the volume icon in the system tray (bottom right of screen) and pick open sound settings.
in the Input section, select your camera as the microphone and you should see the sound bar move as you make noises.

      Hello Bruce

Many thanks for your reply, Iv’e done as youv’e said and I can see the sound bar on “Test your microphone” fluctuate as I make sounds.
Do I need to do anything with the “Master volume” which is set at 45 at the moment or can I just leave it as it is?

that will all come down personal choice, and the way your devices are used, as inm how far away they are, can the other end hear you OK, that sort of stuff.
