    PS4 controller not migrated

    Hi there,

I had been using a Scuf controller previously on my PC with wire without issue. I bought a PS DualShock 4 controller when it broke and along with a bluetooth usb so I could play wirelessly on my PC. However now I cant get the PS4 controller to work either wirelessly or with wire plugged in.

Problem is it is saying the HDI-compliant game controller device is not migrated. I have tried everything, uninstalling / installing the devices and drivers, tried DS4 download to recognise it but no joy. Also when I do try and connect via Bluetooth it will also only recognise the game controller as an audio device.

Here is the information under the ‘not migrated’ error message:

Device HID\VID_054C&PID_09CC&MI_03\7&1a5a57a8&0&0000 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.

    Last Device Instance Id: USB\VID_275D&PID_0A29\6&1b0add2d&0&1
    Class Guid: {745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da}
    Location Path:
    Migration Rank: 0xF000FFFFFFFFF120
    Present: false
    Status: 0xC0000719

PLease if anyone can help - I’ve run out of optionsd and suggested solutions on the internet…

    Thanks
    Tom

Do you use DS4Windows to set it up as a controller in various games?
Does the controller appear under device manager?
Wired it should be plug and play.
Have you tried another USB port? Are the ports USB 2 or 3?
Is the USB cord the genuine Sony controller cable? Third party cables may not be compatible.

    Run sfc:
Right click Start>powershell with admin & enter: sfc /scannow.
