Soundbar or Speaker?

Which do you prefer for your build, a set of speakers or a soundbar with subwoofers? I’m already gearing up for Black Friday Sales and will upgrade my audio setup. Wondering if I should get a soundbar or stick to speakers for my pc. Thanks!

hmmmm… tough call.
been thinking the same thing myself.
reckon flip a coin.
2.1 speaker system is certainly tried and true, great quality at cheap prices.
soundbar (a good one) would rate slightly higher on the cost range but also probably slightly higher on the quality scale too.

yeah - as I say - tough call.

but to go out on a limb, with the way I have my current wall mounted custom rig, although I used my old 2.1 speakers from the previous rig, a soundbar would suit it better - purely cosmetically speaking though.

There are cheapo ones like the Avantree soundbar I had which was cited here, but if you want to invest a little more then yeah go for a soundbar with an external subwoofer. Mind if it can decode DTS and Dolby too.
