ARRGGHHHH ! cant get EZCAP WORKNG

    Hi

I was about to throw the device through the window but then thought…ask the experts !

I bought an EZCAP VHS to DVD convertor from Amazon. Simple..plug into usb load the drivers…connect up VHS player and away you go..

    No..

I have tried VLC, VirtualDub, the device software (honesttech vhs to dvd) and none of thems how any video or audio

Attached are some pics. Not sure if any of it helps. I am on windows 10.

    cheers

    Hi smallzoo, welcome to PCHF!

I’m not familiar with this piece of kit, but I can try to give you a hand. From the pictures you’ve shown, the device seems to be displaying correctly; what exactly is the issue you are having? When you set one of the programs you have mentioned (for example, either VLC or HonestTech VHS to DVD) to capture, and then press play on the VHS player, what happens?

      Thanks

Just a blank screen. No audio either. The video plays fine on the TV through the same scary lead.

Let’s try and make sure the device drivers are installed properly.

        [ol]
[li]Download Installed Driver List by NirSoft[/li][li]Run the downloaded program InstalledDriversList.exe[/li][li]Select all the drivers in the list by pressing Ctrl-A[/li][li]Save the selection to a CSV file by selecting Save Selected Items[/li][/ol]
Can you upload the resulting file with your next reply please?
