Printer will not print after clean reinstall, but does scan etc! Advice please

Hi Guys I recently had to do a restart on win 10 after I was locked out by latest updates (warning is now out to avoid if possible) the reset went very smoothly, with the only thing not working as it did, my Brother printer.
I carried out a full uninstall of all printer data then downloaded from Brother site, latest software and drivers, during install carried out all instructions such as turning on and reconnecting USB.
printer is now clearly shown in devices and printers, plus marked as PC default printer. Trouble shooting does not help!
Printer will scan to order but makes no attempt tp print…Advice gratefully accepted Thanks
Should add prior to reset printer worked just fine. (SOLVED SEE REPLY)

ALL SORTED: More by luck than judgement I came across a Microsoft announcement that due to Junes updates, most printers had stopped working (printing))
to overcome this they have come up with a cumulative update KB4567512 to rectify the problem. Prior to downloading you have to ascertain according to your system which coded update is applicable to you, its easy enough once you track the update through Microsoft. Downloading’s is simplest by searching online as MS do not appear to provide a download point.
