ASUS VP28UQGL 4K stuck at 30HZ despite DisplayPort 1.2

Hi,

I am using DisplayPort 1.2 with ASUS VP28UQGL, 28 Inch 4K (3840 x 2160) which is capable of 60HZ but it is stuck at 30HZ for some reason. I simply cannot select 60HZ under the settings and the only setting available is 30HZ despite me using the right type of cable which is DisplayPort and not a limited HDMI one.

I can only choose 60HZ for a lower resolution which distorts the screen - please see screenshots below. I’ve tried restarting and playing with NVIDIA control panel that only gives me 3d setting for some reason.

Thank you very much for your reply. I’ve resolved the issue and posting it here below for reference:

Basically my Dell docking station is USB3 and therefore supports bandwidth that is not enough for 60HZ at 3840p resolution - as a result I need to buy a different docking station that allows me to run higher bandwidths.
