Not sure if this is the right place for asking this. I am using my 4k TV as a monitor I have the resolution set to 1920x1080 so i can get that 60hz refresh rate, but since it’s set to that will all 4K content not be in 4k?
Can I view 4k content if 4k TV/Monitor is set to 1920x1080?

okay, thanks for the info, I was kind of thinking that but wasn’t really sure. On another note do you know why the hz setting effects the fps settings, for example when I had the resolution set to 4k at 30hz I would watch a YouTube video thast was 1080p60fps but the video wouldn’t look like it was 60fps, whereas now that I have the resolution set to 1080p at 60hz the videos look alot better and I can actually see that the video is running at 60fps. Why would the hz of the monitor effect how the fps of a video looks? Have you ever heard of that, not being able to watch at 1080p60fps video on a 4k 30hz monitor/TV?Comment

Hz and frames per second are how fast the monitor and the software can refresh the picture. The faster the Hz the more resources are used, just like when the frame rate is raised.
Tv’s generally do not make good computer monitors. Not what they were designed for.Comment

yeah I love the huge monitor tho, you can’t beat having a 55" monitor, although sometimes I wonder considering the problems I’ve run into by using my TV as a monitor. But anyway thanks for the info, you can mark it solved.Comment
