    Keyboard problem

    Hello!

It’s my first time writing on such a forum, because I was able to fix most of my problems just by searching for the right answer on the internet. But not this time, the information I needed was either very old, and didn’t work or just didn’t work even tho it was pretty recent.

So my problem is that whenever i try to hold any button the keyboard presses it like a million times! It is very annoying in most of the games because it gets pretty uncomfortable to play them. I have tried to plug the keyboard to other computer and it stayed the same. At this point, you might probably say that it might be broken, and I wouldn’t doubt that but you see, the problem has already happened to me. It happened for like two or three months ago. I remember I fixed it by just smashing my keyboard a couple times. You might say that it was a dumb idea, but it helped back then, but whenever I try to do it again, it doesn’t work any more.

The keyboard model is ASUS ROG Strix Flare. I don’t know if it changes anything, but the keybord was with the nordic keys so (ÄÖÅ).

I hope I gave all the information required, and that somebody will be able to help me. I am aware that the keyboard might be just destroyed, but the fact that I already somehow managed to fix it in the past keeps bothering me.

    Hello

My 1st thought that a key was stuck and when you (smashed) it became un-stuck and started working.. Now it seems that your keyboard has failed.. May be time to get a new key board..

If it wasn’t broken before, suggest the keyboard may be broken now. Smashing the keyboard does not seem like a good idea. Try another keyboard. Any windows type keyboard should work with basic functions when you boot up, even ps2 if you have a motherboard port.
