Finally made my mic work, but now everything sounds too quiet!

Hi! II’ve had some trouble with setting up my 9mm audio jack mic, since when plugged to the front it makes sound play from the PC Speakers rather than from my (also 9mm) mobile phone earphones that i have. So i plugged them both on the back and while i can speak just fine, things sound robotic and way too quiet, uncomfortably so,even with max volume wherever there’s a volume setting available. There is also a faint buzz/static at all times. I would really appreciate a fix, especially for the low volume. Thanks

Please do not bump threads. Helpers here have a life away from PCHF and will respond asap.

Also no need to quote previous posts.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Hope you dont mind me butting in here, but has this issue with sound only occurred since recent updates?

KB4515384 which you have is a known cause of audio problems. Suggest you go to add remove programs, view windows updates, and uninstall it. Let us know if that fixes your issue.
