    Sweating on mouse

Hey guys, I just got a new g502 proteus spectrum mouse and I’m afraid that the sweat from my hand might damage it. I mean, there is not like a lake on the mouse, but there is some, like a circle of sweat and smallish dots of sweat are visible on it. Could this be dangerous for my mouse? Also, since my hand is sweating, the mousepad has sweat at that spot too, so is that dangerous too? Like can it get in the mouse from the bottom of it or something? Maybe I’m just paranoid but gotta inform meself

    Hello

I would think,as long as the sweat is not dripping wet,you should be ok.. Could always cover the mouse with some cloth and or put on a cloth glove..

got my G502 about 3 years ago - bloody good mouse.
love the programmable keys, especially the side ones to change the DPI on the go.

even if you were to sweat a lot, it would roll down the back curved panel (where the G illuminates) and any ‘pool of sweat’ underneath would just get pushed around. there’s no mouse ball to take the moisture up inside so worst case is you may distort the laser beam. so, yeah, get a neoprene pad, although I have mine on a Razer hard plastic mat which works really well.

yeah i like it so much too its awesome
uhm laser beam, laser that projects the logo lighting or laser under the mouse that controls the movement? and if its the laser that beneath the mouse that controls the movement, would that laser distortion distort my mouse movement, precision, etc.? because this is very important to me. thanks for replying on such short notice tho, i appreciate it

I refer to the ‘laser’ underneath that dictates movement.
yeah, it’s not really a laser, they have moved on from that but my point in general was, whatever technology is in use, I doubt a ‘pool of sweat’ would help.
