PC Placement

Since i just moved my desk i obviously had to move my pc aswell. Before it was in a pretty open space next to my desk. Now it is placed under my desk between the deskwall and the roomwall. There is about 25 cm space above and about 14 cm behind it. I am a little worried about the air in the small space heating up resulting in less ventilation and higher core temperature. Is that something i should worry about or not? Kinda feel like the fan in working more than usual.
I also didnt really know if this is the right place to post this, but i didnt know where else.

I’d be alert more than alarmed.
keep an eye on the temps via any of the many programs that can do so, like Speccy for example.
but yeah, better air flow is always desirable.
you can always whack in an extra chassis fan or two, either as ‘suckers’ or ‘blowers’ or both for as little as $AUD20 each for good, quiet units.
or of course, re-locate the unit somewhere cooler.

Another alternative besides running Speccy at times is run “Core Temp” get it HERE either the portable or installed version, in the background to monitor your CPU temp. You can set it to give you an alert at a temperature you select.

Sure it will only monitor your CPU but it will give you constant monitoring and possible alerts to what may be more widespread issues which Speccy can then check for.
