About two months ago my laptop just stopped being able to print wirelessly. I am able to scan wirelessly but for some reason I couldn’t print wirelessly.
I have a HP ProBook 450 G3 running Windows 10 Pro. The printer was a Canon Pixma MG3200. I talked to Canon support and we couldn’t figure out what is going on. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Canon software and drivers atleast 4 different times and still nothing, so I thought there was something wrong with the printer, so I bought another printer today, a Epson Home XP-446,
I set it all up, the printer connected to the network with no problem and printed out a report saying the connection was strong but I needed to improve my wireless environment. So I started the setup on my laptop and it detected the printer on the network but could not connect to it, so I turned off four devices that were using the network and moved the printer and laptop right next to the wifi router and tried setup on the laptop again, and again it said it detected the printer but could not connect.
So at this point I think it is something with my laptop, but I have no idea what it could be. I initially though maybe there are to many devices connected to the network since it’s me and two roommates with a total of about 10 devices connected to the network including my new printer, but i turned off two of my devices and my one roommate turned off 3 of his devices and my laptop still could not connect to my printer. I’m not sure if I can scan wirelessly with this printer like i was able to with the other printer,
I haven’t tried yet and don’t think I’ll be able to since it said it couldn’t connect to the printer. I have the latest drivers and software from Epson so that can’t be the problem. CAn someone help me, this is VERY frustrating.
I am wondering if maybe its an issue with my wifi card, maybe I need a better one with better range or something?
