The integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 is very old and is not officially supported on Windows 10 and is no longer receiving driver updates anymore from AMD.

Do you want to reinstall the NVidia video card and we can try and get the drivers to install properly?

Sure. I will get the video card out again. It is a GEFORCE GT 610 NVIDIA. the other one is on the mother board I believe. How do I uninstall it?

Maybe I should go buy a another card. I do a lot with photographs. I can do that and be home in less than an hour…

Thank you, Evan Omo. That was exactly my problem. I ran out and bought a NEW graphics card, Gigabyte GEFORCE GT 1030. installed it and nothing was changed . Then all of a sudden my computer went beep beep, the screen turned black and then came on and it is now normal!!! this thing has been failing for awhile I think. My text was low resolution for a couple of months…then the stretching of the the whole display. But thank you, thank you. I am GOOD now!!

              You are welcome.

Just as an FYI Microsoft has indeed been cutting off support for user’s running older hardware. See this link, PSA: Those with ATI HD4000 series or older Graphics using Windows 10 1607 or older, incoming problems.

I marked your thread as Solved.
