windows 10 display is stretched and poor resolution

Seemingly all of a sudden my display is stretched on my monitor and the resolution is poor. I have tried every thing…adjustments in the display menu, swapped display card, updated drivers, swapped monitors, ran virus software. Ran youtube videos for advice. Nothing seems to correct my problem. I also noticed that my display menu is not the same as the Windows 10 display menu.

        hille005:
One thing happened two days ago. I tried to log onto Amazon and got a bad site. Windows defender immediately popped up to report a virus attack. Ran windows defender and said clean. I’ve run it a couple of times..

Have you had an update to your graphics driver? It seems MS is offering an incorrect driver for certain graphics cards, the solution is to roll back the driver or uninstall the driver & install a previous/older one.

This is what my display menu looks like. Very different than the Windows 10 display menu. I don’t know how long it has looked like this.

Ok,i guess we will run with this..

Can you try another monitor,to see if this issue is the same on it? Also what about Bastet question on the drivers?

                            Hi hille005.

It seems you have both the integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 video adapter and a dedicated NVidia video card installed on your machine.

What NVidia video card do you have installed on your computer?

I have just the ATI Radeon HD 4200 now. I plugged in the NVIDIA video card to see if that corrected my problem, it did not so I took it out.
