    Questions about Alps switches

    Hey everyone,
I’ve recently started caring about the keyboard I use, and I’ve kind of done some research on Cherry MX key switches and have decided upon Cherry MX Blue or Browm. But I’ve been wondering about Alps, because I like old computers and computer equipment, and old computer keyboard seems to always have a nice clicky feeling. I’m going to buy this Gateway 2000 keyboard for sentimentality, but I also want to acquire some other old keyboards just because they have nice clicky keys and they’re cool and old school. I’m pretty sure, the primary key switches that were used back in the day were Alps, and therefore, I want to learn more about Alps switches and their differences. Then, I want to pick some nice old keyboards after I choose what Alps switches are good for me… so could someone inform me all about Alps switches? And then furthermore, I know a lot of gaming keyboards nowadays don’t use Cherry MX switches, like Razer, so if anyone can, inform me on the other type of modern key switches.

Lol no not really. But it seems like not many users (if any) know about the Alps and Cherry stuff I want to know about, which is totally fine. I’ll just ask around elsewhere.
