Audio Question

I have been using the same equipment for awhile now, but when I moved the audio now generates static and also ever 5 sec or so pops.
I have been browsing around the forums trying various suggestions. I decided to make a post of my own to see if maybe I am missing something.
My build
I have a Mixer (Behringer XENYX X1222 USB), the USB connects to my computer. (I have tired moving it to different ports on the pc from front to back) Connected to the mixer is a headset and mic(mic is AKG P220)(headset is sennheiser)

I know its the PC, because when I shutdown the PC the popping stops, also when I start up something that uses audio the popping stops(example; teamspeak, youtube, anything that generates audio)

I also was using a program called OBS (Open Broadcasting Software) and the people that I was broadcasting to heard static, all the time.

I have my computer plugged into a APC, so when the power goes out I have time to shutdown my PC. I was using this and did not have a problem before.

You move your head, relocated the audio card, moved the system to another spot?

We had this happening at one of our work stations come to find out we were getting interference form some newly installed led lighting. Once they were turned off the interference went away.

Try different outlets, with out the APC, Nothing but the system on, everything disconnected for the USB ports.

Like Mal has stated re-seat and try again some thing may have come loose if the system has been moved.

Planning on getting some compressed air in a can, and doing this tomorrow. If it still happening I will try a different outlet.

Can not say it did not in our case with the LED lights. The APC should have a surge/spike protector and suppressor.

I have been messing around with what I have plugged into the computer and found something interesting, to which leads me to believe that the static sound is not coming from the computer.
I turned off my mixer (Behringer XENYX X1222 USB) and the static was still there, I then unplugged my Mic and Headset from the mixer, and the static was still there. I then unplugged the USB cable going from the mixer to the computer and the static was gone. I plugged everything back in and with the mixer on disconnected the USB cable and the static was gone. I do not believe that the static is coming from the PC, however the popping noise is coming from the PC.
I did some research and found a neat little device.

I purchased the device I mentioned in the above post, I am going to be checking the internals of my pc today as well.

UPDATES, I clean out my pc and resat my ram and graphics card. Freaked out cause 1st boot and it froze, restarted 2 times same thing. Took out a ram card that I think was causing the issue and it booted, but froze, however I let it sit and the pic recovered. Now my web browser is not responding. I do not hear the popping sound anymore, but to soon to tell.

Need help with freezing problem, please help.

Update: found out that one of my ram sticks is bad. Could be causing the freezing, going to pull out the one I think it is, and boot back up.

Try running MemTest86+ and see if it reads the RAM as bad. Will need to rung it for several passes. It may pass the first few then fail on the next.

Okay ran the memtest, though did not let it run more than 1 pass. I have homework to do tonight for my CCENT class. I will run more than 1 scan tomorrow, while I work on my other homework that does not require a pc.

I am still having intermittent freezing issues. Which I’ve never had before kinda wishing I never cleaned out the pc of dust. This really sucks
