Connecting Sony DCR-HC14E camcorder to HP Envy 15-as002na
I wish to download videos from DV tapes via a DCR camcorder to my HP Envy laptop. I’ve tried using the USB mini cable but don’t seem to be able to make any connection. The Sony website advises using a Firewire (IEEE 1394) cable from the DV port on the camcorder to a iLink input port on the laptop. The HP Envy doesn’t have an ilink port.
Can anyone advise what adaptors might be available and for which port on the laptop.
Also is there anyway of inporting the video feed via the USB cable?
