Is WD 5TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive discontinued?

A couple of moths ago I purchased a WD Elements 5TB Disk drive. I was looking around to perhaps get another one but they and the 4TB version seem to have disappeared. Does anyone know if they have been discontinued by WD, and if so, why?
    Thank you.

I should add that I just found one (5TB) on Amazon, by a liquidator, for double the original price , which adds to my suspicion that they are discontinued. Can anyone confirm that?

Make google your friend, a quick visit to WD shows only the WD Black as the only mechanical drive listed available in 5TB.

PS: as you didnt state the application for it, the info above relates to a desktop drive…

WD website actually shows the Elements 4TB unit, though not the 5TB unit. As people here are knowledgeable and “plugged-in”, I expected someone would know whether that was because of a high rate of 5TB unit failures or whether they were just preparing a different, newer model to replace it - e.g. 6TB. Or whether they were starting to shut down the whole Elements line.

I could consider the My Book line though as I recall when I first looked at WD disk drives, the Elements line had better reviews.

You may have to go to WD and ask them.

            Or maybe it’s called marketing?

Looks like Amazon has plenty but a bit overpriced in my opinion. If you need more space you can get an 8Tb WD MyBook. I like the WD brand of drives. Always had good luck with them.
