Indeed. But at the price one canβt help but be nervous.
As an aside, the hub I ordered recently should arrive sometime today, so I should be able to plug the HDMI lead, and both a mouse and a keyboard in at once, connect it to the broken tablet and a TV/monitor, and confirm whether it gives me access or not.
Edit: Hub arrived; has USB-C lead to tablet, and HMDI, USB-A, and USB-C out. Tried to connect all, but had neither C type mouse nor keyboard so had to use an adpter lead for that. Some success. Mouse and TV worked (although I need to find out how to adjust height aspect a little) but not the keyboard. So Iβm reliant on the screen bringing up a keyboard. Pain in the neck to use but did get to my notes in order to recall important information. Also discovered that broken screen may not be showing visuals, but the touch detection still works. Trouble is not being able to see what one is touching beforehand, so have to use mouse/pointer anyway.
Well, it arrived, earlier than estimated. Knew I ought not have trusted such a price. All it was, was the ruddy glass screen. No connections, so it sure isnβt going to fix it. Itβs not so much the waste of money, itβs the large time delay as I now have to start again.
I didnβt spot a contact button (they seem very keen on buttons since their e-mails often have them to indicate something, such as the last e-mail had one to confirm receipt, but I needed to write this issue down).
Before Iβd received that last one I took a chance and replied to a previous e-mail saying that I wasnβt satisfied, expecting it to reply that it didnβt accept incoming e-mails, but Iβve heard nothing yet.
I sort of anticipated this though, the price was too good to be true for the whole thing. Itβs mostly the delay thatβs disappointed.
Not much. As mentioned, all that came was the glass. Complained, was told by the seller that was what I bought. I responded it wasnβt, it was what came. Today discovered seller had sent handshake icon, I responded that I wasnβt interested. AliExpress app, which one is obliged to install to communicate, is confusing, but stumbled on start dispute button. Used it. Have no idea what next. Everything is in Limbo.
Not really. That AliExpress app is awful to navigate or find things. And seems obligatory to open a dispute. I had another useless correspondence via the dispute facility a few days ago but could find no way to respond. Came across 2 buttons, one which apparently is for agreeing, which was a non-starter, but the other seemed to be for ending the dispute, another non-starter, so I finally gave up and ignored it. Assuming my complaint and attached screen dumps will be used to find in my favour after 15 days. Meanwhile I donβt feel much like making another purchase while this is going on. I simply donβt know where I stand.
My screen shots were not from an app - from the aliexpress web page.
They send an email saying the product delivered. That connects to the other page.
I do not have an aliexpress app
