    Zoom problem

    Hi there
Was given a present of an Android tablet running Android 9.0 and have tried to download Zoom so I can join in remote meetings.
Asking around I have been told that problem is due to it possibly being " rooted" but am not tech savvy enough to know what that entails though told it’s not illegal.
On searching the Playstore app I can find under Zoom search over 100 “guides” on how to use Zoom but the App itself ( when I finally found it) says it’s not compatible with my device ) though I am told by others they have it working on earlier Android versions 7.0/8.0 Spent ages searching the net for guidance with no success and would be extremely grateful for either your guidance or the confirmation by your experts that I AM wasting my time and need to purchase a new tablet to stand any chance of solving my access to meetings Would mention that I haven’t had similar probs with other apps though a couple were via the Aptoide source and experienced “parsing” problem message a couple of times. Many thanks for any assistance you can provide

Yes I have fellaThats one of my main moans about Playstore Searched that and got " you may also be interested in these" which didn’t include that app but gave me 100 plus guides on how to use it!! Lot of use that is
Not the first time I’ve searched an app on there and it’s done that!
Why the devil doesn’t it give you what you’re searching for Not what they THINK you should have ?

Same conundrum pal. It starts with " recommended for you". or" you may also like"… and the only app showing that’s applicable is " Zoom Rooms Controller". Following below is a long list of Zoom guides…Zoom Rooms Controller…Guide for Zoom video meeting…hide for cloud meetings etc etc etc Over 100 of them But tongue in cheek why would I need a guide for an app it doesn’t give me the option of loading?
Have to smile about the time Ive wasted on this
So I finally sought your guidance as a tech dummy!

Further update Using your advice and Google play I found Zoom Cloud Meetings so at least a step further …but below is a red message " your device isn’t compatible with this version…" plus an info message " this app may not be optimised for your device" plus there is no option to try install anyway
            .

One final throw of the device?

If it says not compatible with THIS version …
Is there an earlier version for Android 9.0 that I could find somewhere …zoom site…
                  Playstore
                  Eg
My son’s tablet is same version Android 9.0 and it doesn’t bring up that error message and downloads it ok . So just for my background info what is the difference or what other restraints are there to installing apps such as this??

                    Hiya fella
                    Further update- but success!
After much trawling found a an android forum where it mentions "uptodown’ site with genuine apps on but in addition to latest release provides virtually every previous older version.
Checked date of Mfr. of my tablet …looked for versions of Zoom just before and just after that date and downloaded those versions one at a time totally cleaning out data and cache of versions that didn’t work. Bit of pushing and pulling but eventually found one that loaded . Scanned with eset to ensure virus free / installed
Defaulted all prompts and Bingo am now connected
                    Hope it helps others!
