Cannot close or select tabs in Chrome

I have a Lenovo TB-X103F tablet. It’s a couple of years old but has just started having a problem in Chrome.

If I play a video such as on Dailymotion or Vimeo I can not then close or leave that tab.

To do so I have to close the app and then go back in.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled updates on Chrome.

It’s been doing this for around a week and is pretty inconvenient

    Thanks
    James

Do you mean apps other than Chrome?

Yes I tried Firefox today and I was fine

I also did a factory reset which seemed to work initially but then the problem came back

What other apps would you suggest?

                I already tried Firefox

Oh I see what you mean

I have the Dailymotion app. A lot of the videos I watch there are opened from links on YouTube and they take me to the in-browser site. I’m not sure I can set it to go to the app instead

The Vimeo app on Play isn’t compatible with my machine

And unfortunately a lot of the videos I watch are on other channels which don’t seem to have an app

                    Thanks
