Updates for my device from Google?

Android updates are a still a point of contention among die-hard fans, because most manufacturers don’t keep updated with the latest offerings from Google.

According to Wikipedia, Android 6.0 is still Supported by Google API Services. Would that mean Google will keep releasing Google Play Services updates as long as my device is still supported?

That would only apply to Google Apps not every app there is.

Google Play won’t seem to update Google Play services even when a beta version is available. It always seems I have to update it manually. Anyone know why?

Yes but it still won’t update Google Play services automatically.

Have you tried disabling the security software it may be hindering it?

              What version are you showing?

What have you tried to see about correcting this?

EDIT: Is it configured to update over Mobile and or WiFi and or Both?

                Google Play Services 16.7.96
                Google Play 14.5.52
I only have Wi-Fi no mobile network.
Which security software Google Play protect or security master?
                I haven’t tried anything yet.

                  jmarket may have other ideas.

Showing that you are up to date. Have also read some place that VPN’s can some times cause issues.

                  Clear the Application Cache
                  Reboot
Let it recreate it and see if that corrects it.

Open the Store go under settings
                  Scroll to the bottom
                  Look under Play Protect certification
                  Is the device certified?
Tap that to see more information.

See if this helps as well
Google Play Store problems can usually be fixed simply by clearing the cache, but if not, we have even more solutions in this article!

Further research show that you are using a Beta version of Google Play Services and Google Play.

Since this appears to be a Beta version of the software you may need to talk to the people that created it since it is not an official stable release yet.
Beta Software Safety. It’s generally safe to download and test beta software, but be sure that you understand the risks that come with it. Remember that the program or website, or whatever it is that you’re beta testing, is in the beta stage for a reason: the bugs need to be identified so that they can be fixed.

Shows 9 different downloads depending on what the specs you have.
