    Samsung a7 2018 slow charging

Hi, bought samsung a7 2018 earlier this monday. I used it immediately without giving it a full charge, and later when I charged it, I saw it charging to 50% in 3 hours about 3% in 10 mins.
I asked the seller and they said it could happen when you first charge the mobile, and it should speed up later on.
    Is this true?

BTW when I charged the phone in that showroom, it charged to about 5% in 10 mins.

    Hello

Most of the time it will charge faster. Some ways to make it charge faster..shut down wifi and check to see what app’s are running and the ones you do not need. Also it could be updating during the charge.

It will also depend on if it has a turbo power charger or not an d if it is capable.

So yes that is normal and like @vger stated turn off the wireless and Bluetooth will help.

The speed of charge is also dependent on the electrical output of that outlet. Some outlets have taken my phone 5 hours to charge, while others have taken an hour.

Hi, I had charged it while powering it off so that should not have been an obstacle.

I am also thinking this could be the case since it was a bit faster back at the showroom. But what I am confused about is my other phone and tablet is charging normally.

Are you using the same charger that they are using at the showroom?

Yeah, checked with the original charger that came with the mobile.

Do you get the same issue with other cables/adapters on other outlets?

the charging is similar even if I use other charger to charge a7. While it is normal for other mobiles whether I charge them with other charger or the charger that came with a7.

Charge it fully for 2-3 times if this happens after that, there might be problem in charger or device.
Also it might problem of your wall socket, try to charge it one time in different sockets.

by fully, making the charge go down to 0% (playing games and etc) and charging it to 100%?

I think it was indeed like the salesguy said, it should improve after few times. I charged it yesterday and checked it was about 1% in 2 mins, should improve as it continues since it is improving right now.[/color]

I don’t use mobile much so I don’t charge much. But I charge again today and it charged 10% in 30 mins, slowed down to previous speed.

How far are you running the battery down to?
