I’m trying to figure out how to decrease my Android’s internal storage and I have no APK installers in it. Could shortcuts & folder’s on the home screen use up internal storage?

You have to remember that all and anything that is on your phone is stored in the internal storage,one reason i use a SD card.

Yes just like with a computer. Same thing with pictures, apps, Internet cache and cookies.

If the device is running Jelly Bean, I’m guessing it is old and came with a tiny amount of storage because storage was expensive a few years back.

The solution: buy a newer device with 16GB of storage and one on which google play works.
