I would like to update it to Android 4β¦This is what i found it could be updated to.
Specβsβ¦
Android 2.3.4
Kernel Version 2.6.35.7
Gingerbread .EF17
Baseband version Sjp100.08 S.EF17
The only way Iβm currently aware of is to install CM10, which is based off of Android 4.1.2, but to do that you first have to have the device rooted and have a custom recovery installed, such as ClockworkMod Recovery.
Maybe this will help Vger. Before you do anything I would suggest you backup all of your data on the tablet. I suspect others are fearful of doing what you need is because rooting can have unwanted consequences if not done correctly. I have bricked more than one tablet. Lucky for me, I was able to recover from it. I am not afraid to experiment with my own tablets but I would feel terrible if I damaged someone elseβs. The provided link should provide good instructions on the process. I have tested the links on the page and they all seem to work. One other thing to consider is if you use the tablet with your cell phone service then you may lose that functionality.
