    Weird white lines appearing on screen.

    This has been happening for a while, on certain apps and screens, these strange white lines start appearing. They will sometimes dissappear as I move my mouse over them. They also continually grow depending on whats on the screen. Unsure to when it started but I’ve done malware checks.

    Sorry but you have post on a tech forum asking for help but have provided zero information about your computer or it`s hardware, this makes it impossible for anyone to even hazard a guess as to what is going on.

    Does it happen if you boot into Safe Mode.

    How many screens do you have hooked up, if only the one;

    Have you tried any other screens, if yes, was the issue the same.

    Is the computer a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if a brand name, provide the model name or series number (not serial) if a custom build post the brand and model name or number for the CPU, MB, the RAM ( including the amount, number of sticks and speed ) add on video card if one is used and the PSU (power supply unit) providing these details will enable helpers to better assist you.

        Of course, sorry.

        It’s connected to a monitor but this only happens on the laptop screen. It’s a dell g15 5510 laptop, stock apart from the RAM, upgraded from 8gb to 32gb a couple years back. This issue has been happening since about 1 year ago and only on certain apps. I’ll boot it into safe mode when I can and get back to you.

          Suggests a problem with the notebook screen, the video cable from the MB to the screen or worse case scenario a combination of both, if correct the situation will be the same when you try Safe Mode.
