Could changing SSD be causing the WiFi adapter and sound issues?

    Hi all

    I have a Asus Zenbook 15 Oled 15" Ryzen (UM3504)

I’m having a very weird issue that I can’t get my head around.

I noticed the SSD was failing from time to time so I decided to change the SSD however after booting the laptop I can’t connect to the internet and there’s also no sound at all.

I have installed all drivers for the adaptor and also all sound drivers directly from the Asus site.

Issue if the adaptor doesn’t even show on windows

I have watched so many videos and no methods have worked.

The weird thing is in the bios the WiFi adapter show and also connects to the router, there is also an option to do a test and it passes with no issues

But upon booting windows the adapter disappears can’t even locate it under hidden devices on device manager. I thought I might have messed up the card whilst changing SSD.

BUT then I done a test, I put the old SSD back in and it all works fine, there’s WiFi and there’s sound so I want to rule out faulty hardware (other than failing SSD)

Is anyone able to give some advice on why changing SSD is causing WiFi adapter to disappear and also sound to stop?

Things I’ve done so far that I can remember
    • fresh windows install
    • updated all drivers
    • reseated SSDs (always works when I use the existing SSD which is going faulty)
    • network reset, show hidden drivers etc etc all advice I could find on YouTube

    Many thanks in advance

    Open elevated command promt:

Type each of these commands below and hit enter after each.
    sc start Wcmsvc
    sc start Wlansvc

Also, could you transfer this program to the machine in question, so I can get a look at what is going on.
Maybe use a USB and download on a working machine transfer program and logs.

    Download the PCHFLogTool
    Unzip to your desktop
    Right Click run as admin.
    Click Gather logs.
A new .txt named PCHF.txt will appear on your desktop.
    Copy paste or attach that.

As shown below the WiFi and also the card shows in Ur bios and also connects but once booting into windows everything network wise and sound stops working. This only happens with new SSD and not with old existing SSD
