Sorry for the delay, it has been quite the weekend over here - haha.
There should be a difference between plugged in and not but it is a possibility that the plan you have set for battery power is a higher power plan as well.
When did the issue βstartβ and can you think of anything that changed around that time?
You have McAfee and Malwarebytes installed - antivirus programs are often not needed with modern Windows, letβs try without them to see if they are causing any issues. Please note down your subscription keys/accounts if you pay for these but otherwise they can be uninstalled using Revo Uninstaller (I use the advanced uninstall but you could do the basic as well, making a restore point before they install is a good option to leave checked).
P.S. Having Multiple antivirus/antimalware programs is known to cause issues since they fight amongst themselves.

McAfee uninstall tool
These may or may not be needed depending on how successful Revo is, I have had good luck with it personally.

This could definitely cause an issue with performance, did you run through the steps I suggested in post #8?
I would uninstall ASUS Armoury Crate, it is a well known program to cause issues- I would do this along with any other ASUS apps that arenβt drivers (MyASUS, ASUS Pro Color, Etc).
Have you tried unplugging all peripherals? Mice, Keyboards, USB Flash Drives, etc?[/COLOR]
So hereβs the news. I found the issue, but itβs not perfect yet.
I was pretty convinced it was a power distribution issue so after a whole bunch of trying I found that my Turbo Mode (Armory Crate) power setting is broken - weird - and using the Manual mode gives me good performances. But itβs still not perfect, at 120FPS in RL I still have lags: stutters and freezes.
Idk anything about those manual settings tho and Iβve been winging it tbh and itβs above my knowledge. What would you recommend in terms of CPU and GPU overclocking, GPU Power Saver and fan settings for laptop and my use case (RL)?
Hi @Bruce, Iβm sorry. I said a few times already that I did follow all the instructions and asked some questions and advice that havenβt been answered. If you canβt help itβs okay, in that case you can close the thread
Thank you all for your help!
There were a lot of steps laid out for you, the speccy links indicate that you did not follow instructions as we set for you.
Only step that you took from my instruction was to remove Avast.
Everything else was not done.
It is your machine, and you do with it what you please that much is for sure.
These are only troubleshooting steps and it makes it hard for us to help when you choose what you want to do only and then say you did everything with null result.
How about you create a restore point and actually follow the instructions, and if you do not like the result, then revert to that restore point.
I personally have delt with thousand of computers as have @Pyro and @Bruce
Maybe, just maybe if you consider following the steps laid out you will be happy with the result. Again it is your choice.
