    Asus laptop black screen

So, i have a asus laptop or notebook, idk the diff, i think it is a k52j. I got a problem, some time ago i moved my laptop and i heard a small crack, after like 2-3 days my laptop started black screening randomly. I tried to reinstall my windows, restart my graphics card (WIN + SHIFT + CTRL + B) and it’s the same, the only way that i can see my screen it’s by pressing FN + F7 and after 2-3 seconds it turns black again, i have to say that the laptop it’s working and on screen i see like 5% brightness but i cant use it for anything tho. I have a monitor that i use and it works without any problems, you think i can fix it or something? Also i tried to make the brightness low like 10%-20% and it worked for a day…now it is black again

New screen and possibly a new video cable/ribbon/inverter are required, if it were anything else you would have the same problem on the external screen.

In my opinion, changing the LCD screen in a laptop is one of the harder parts to change.
There are a lot of screws and plastic molding that almost always cracks somewhere.
Certainly not a job for a novice.
And getting the exact model number of the replacement LCD can also be problematic.

If the 3external screen works fine, and if you don;t need to be mobile of course, I’d relegate the laptop to desktop-bound duties.

Not a difficult job on this model in all honesty Bruce, there are a couple of variables involved but I will wait to see if the OP comes back before going into any detail.
