hi, i am encountering a problem with my systemβs touchpad. it works for some time and fails to work for a very long time. System Name: HP 250G7 Notebook PC , Windows 10 Home, x64 bit. There was a time when i could not find the device driver of the touchpad. please how can i resolve this issue. thanks

have you gone to the HP Customer Support page here; https://support.hp.com/au-en/drivers/laptops - entered your serial number and checked you have the latest driver for the touchpad?

Is there a new Touchpad entry under Settings>Devices? Are there any settings there?
Does the touchpad show Nader device manager? If no then check further under view>show hidden devices.
The newer Elan/Synaptics driver seems to break the touchpad settings so that you cannot turn the touchpad on/off or use various scroll options.
Try installing the Microsoft precision touchpad driver:
