The HDD in my Acer Aspire 5733z was failing, I replaced it with a WD SSD that I cloned using Macrium Reflect. I started it and booted with a usb recovery drive. After startup I select and run Reset this PC and eventually get a message “there was a problem resetting your PC.No changes were made."
“there was a problem resetting your PC error” after replacing failing hdd with sdd

Was this a one time error or does it happen every time you try to reset the computer?
Did you create the recovery drive using the Windows Media Creation tool?
With different hardware it’s advised to reset the computer, install all of the drivers before connecting to the internet, and simply take important files fromt he backup (Macrium allows you to assign backups to a drive letter and browse them for your files).Comment

I would be using the Windows Media Creation Tool to make a bootable USB stick with the latest Windows build on it.
boot from that stick and remove all the partitions on the SSD when offered and reinstall Windows afresh.
that will get rid of any problems either caused from cloning the old drive.
plus it’ll stress test the SSD with all the I/O.Comment
