This HP 15 notebook belonged to my son he was rough on it. He’s got a new computer so this one is merely a work project I’m not interested in restoring it just getting it functional. The touch screen had to be converted to just a regular screen. I had to disable the mouse pad and now the key board or the computer, one of the two is typing perpetually +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ this addition on steroids does not occur immediately. I cannot see where a keyboard would generate thermal issues, so it doesn’t make sense that this doesn’t occur as soon as its running and able to, but only after it’s been on a while. I got a message after running the windows trouble shooter, I forget exactly how it was phrased; I believe the gist was text services framework was disabled. I did go into devices and disable the keyboard maybe that might explain text services framework disabled. I would like to know what to do to trouble shoot and isolate where its coming from. I figured I’d buy a replacement keyboard and replace it that would fix it +++++++++ if that’s where its coming from. any suggestions.
keyboard stuck typing "++++"

I’ve been using an external keyboard. the laptop keyboard is no 1 dysfunctional and acting up +++++++++++++++++ so last night i took the keyboard out and its working fine without it I think the ribbon connector was half cocked in its socket so it was probably not getting a good connection as well as shorting out which would explain why it was so crazy. I’m going to put it back in and see if that fixes it.Comment

I did reconnect the keyboard and it definitely is a goner, so I disconnected it again and the laptop is working fineComment
