Vertical Lines on Laptop Screen

I have a Hp Omen 16-b0080TX (Win 11) and after playing CsGo and watching random youtube stuff . Then my monitor made This vertical Scanlines.

I tried Uninstalling Monitor Drivers and Display Drivers then Restarting (still Didn’t Work)

I tried System Restore to 3 Days ago (when i know, no problems and no new Installs or update happened) didn’t work

I hooked it up to my TV via HDMI and no Scanlines on the TV.

updated Nvidia and System Drivers to latest (still didn’t work)

Changed my Refresh rate (still didn’t work)

    please help.

    Hello

It could be that your laptop screen and or the ribbon cable is failing, since you get a good picture on an external screen .

yes, i also think so. but right now im using the laptop in replying here, and it works like normal except for the lines. scrolling and moving is same but with lines. i haven’t opened it up yet, i was hoping for an alternative solution hehehe.

but if its normal except for the line does that mean i have to replace the cable or the monitor? (laptop screen)

The ribbon may be replaceable, if so it is not an easy thing to do but can be done.

        Here is a video..

          Hi,

Yeah this is looking like an issue with the laptop screen. Either the screen itself is having an issue or the cable connecting the screen needs to be replaced.

Is the issue still present if you boot the laptop into SafeMode?

Yes, it still has lines even in safe mode.

i also noticed that even if i flex the screen forward or backwards the lines is static. this is troublesome because it might really mean the display is the problem. (ill head tomorrow and call the hp hotline and see what they say, if i can still get the warranty or if i have to open this and see.) i haven’t opened this when i bought it.

Yeah hopefully HP will honor the warranty and can fix the issue.
