AMD A4 3320m upgrade

I have an older pavilion G6 1D60 US notebook with the AMD processor and it’s in great shape just old and slow and I want to upgrade the socketed CPU. I just want to make sure whatever I replace it with is compatible of course and I’ve already got the laptop apart and I’m looking at the CPU and it does come out of the socket. Any advice would be greatly appreciated if I can get up around 3 GHz I’d be happy. Thank you in advance

I take it a cpu from another manufacturer wouldn’t work; i5, 3 or 7?

No that would not AMD CPU only work on an AMD motherboard and the same for the Intel.
