I have a lenovo legion laptop I bought in 2017
specs :
-GTX 1050 2gb
-i5 7300HQ 2.50 Hz
-8gb ram (not dual channel)
-1TB HDD
of course newer games are very slow I am going to change it after a year but I want to upgrade it with something that is useful for the future laptop and can boost this oneβs performance in newer games
should I upgrade to 16GB ram ?
There are different models of the computer that you have and they do not all have the same spec.
Run the Crucial tool here which will provide you with any upgrade options.
Be aware that the fastest RAM that your CPU can handle is 2400MHz and that any new RAM that is faster than what you have now will be clocked backwards to match the speed of the present RAM, example, if you have 2133MHz capable RAM and you purchase a new stick of 2400MHz RAM it will get clocked back to 2133MHz.
