Hi guys, I’m operating a laptop with Intel(R) Core™ i5-1035G1 CPU @ 1.00GHz 1.19 GHz and 8GB of Ram. This is my personal laptop that I use for work, using the Citrix OS as well as WIndows 11. I also added a second monitor using HDMI to connect it to my laptop to make work easier. Anyway, the software I use in Citrix processes very slow, so I am wondering how I could increase the speed. Which of my peripherals do I need to upgrade if that’s what you call it. Please excuse my ignorance on computer jargon.
We are unable to help with work computers, if someone deletes a company files on accident or something of the sort, that would be bad. ???
However we can talk general computer terms: There are no peripherals you can buy to ‘tune-up’ your computer or anything of that sort, most if not all of it is simply a placebo effect meant to capitalize off people who don’t know better. To truly get better performance out of a PC you generally need to upgrade the components (The hardware such as the CPU, Ram, Hard Drive, etc). Since this is a laptop, the only things I would think you can upgrade the Ram and possibly the storage drive, but you have to determine if that’s really worth it to you, you might be better off buying a new laptop if you want to start gaming or video editing, because it’s simply too much to try and change (which sometimes you can’t on laptops).
