if those are your only two choices (and the ROG link shows four options so not sure which one you are chasing), and the specs are virtually identical, it would come down to budget.

if it was me, I’d want to be able to upgrade the GPU and CPU down the track, so would be looking at desktop rigs.
how often would you need to be doing this sort of stuff when your mobile, out and about town?

The linked laptop series has different variations, the β€œbest” in terms of processing power is the (GX650RX-LB011X) and (GX650RS-LB060X) with the only difference being the GPU (the former being slightly more powerful).

What you want is up to you but I could see any of these working just fine, if you plan on doing graphic design you might be interested in a slightly cheaper computer alongside a dedicated drawing tablet, the color accuracy is unparalleled by most built-in displays.

As Bruce suggested, a desktop is a great choice if you can have your computer be stationary, there’s so much more in terms of expanding (and parts are usually cheaper with better thermals).

The Zenbook Pro has an OLED display (which is nicer than an IPS in terms of color and the like) as well as an Intel processor (if you prefer that to AMD).

Other than that, the LB011X has an equivalent if not better version of everything in the other PC, I would go for this computer if you’re looking for the one with the best specs and theoretical performance.

I personally think the differences are so slight that price than becomes the next important factor.
but it’s your money, and a very subjective choice, really only you can make that decision. (y)
