    Notebook Help: Booting Problem (?)

    Hello ???,

I hope someone can help me with my Problem, please. I wanted to fix a Notebook from a friend, but I don’t know what the issue is. It is a Acer Aspire ES1-411 Notebook, MFG date 2015. When I turn on a the Notebook, it is stuck in an infinite loop of loading the Acer loading screen, followed by a blank screen and after that it starts over again. I tried some things already.

1️⃣ I Created a Windows 8.1 installation on a USB flash drive. The Notebook doesn’t react, still in the Loop.

2️⃣ I tried to use Hiren’s BootCD software on a USB flash drive. The Notebook doesn’t react, still in the Loop.

3️⃣ I changed the boot order in the CMOS (Mode:UEFI) to the USB ports so that the Computer may receive the USB. The Notebook doesn’t react, still in the Loop.

4️⃣ I changed the Boot Mode from UEFI to Legacy and then this came up. I’m not sure what that means, but it didn’t helped.

I really don’t know what to do now, this exceeds my abilities… I don’t understand the problem that the computer has. What would you do next?

Nowhere in the image under Boot does it reflect this.

    Reset the BIOS to factory.

Why not use the recovery partition to perform a factory reset on the system?
Instruction on how to do this can be found in the manual that can be downloaded from the manufactures website.

      Hi Rustys ???

the pictures of the BIOS are just the setup defaults.
Hey, I found out that by giving a Supervisor Password I can access the Secure Boot Mode (I couldn’t before).
Do you know if I can try something from here?

I did download the manual from the Acer website, couldn’t really find anything helpful. But maybe I should take another look.

      Thank You

        Should be under Recovery.

Did they create the recovery disk? Can you get them from them?

Have you tried accessing safe mode maybe you can access the recovery from there?

The Notebook does not have a CD Player. And She doesn’t have a recovery media…

What was the outcome for this?

While attempting to access safe mode see if there a selection for system recovery. Some systems have it come up during the systems splash screens.
