laptop wont perform fully without task manager open

    Hi all,

So Iโ€™m having an issue where my laptop wont perform well without the task manager open. Major FPS drops when I play games and the laptop isnโ€™t as smooth. To give you a bigger picture when I play valorant I will have 160+ FPS with task manager open. When it isnโ€™t open the FPS drops down to 50-70. Also the task manager will close out by itself randomly making me to reopen it again to get max FPS. I have a 2019 Razer Blade 15 with a 2070 max q, The whole laptop doesnโ€™t function well without task manager open. Its very laggy. I did a factory restart and nothing. When I first got it, it performed perfectly well. I think 8-10 months in I started having this issue. I have asked some of my tech friends but they have never heard of this issue. All my drivers are up to date and I do take very good care of this laptop. It doesnโ€™t move from my desk and I clean it regularly. Hoping any of you guys can help me out with this issue.

Strange issue indeed. You say you did a factory reset, how long ago was that? First thing I would try is a clean boot and see how the machine responds.

Also, some basic info on the machine would be nice.

Lets see a Speccy log and a minitoolbox.

    Speccy Scan.
    [ul]
[li]Please go here and download Speccy.[/li][li]Install and run the program.[/li][li]Upon Completion:[/li][li]Hit File[/li][li]Publish Snap Shot[/li][li]A link will appear, post that link.[/li][/ul]

    ================================================== ==============
    MiniToolBox Scan

Please download MINITOOLBOX and run it.
    Checkmark following boxes:
    Flush DNS
    Reset FF proxy Settings
    Reset Ie Proxy Settings
    Report IE Proxy Settings
    Report FF Proxy Settings
    List content of Hosts
    List IP configuration
    List Winsock Entries
List last 10 Event Viewer log
    List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size
    List Devices (problems only)
    Click Go post the result.
