    Printer Problem

    I have just gone to print something but it now says printer off line and not sure how to get it back online The printer is a Brother DCP-J315 W and my O/S is Windows 10.I am now using it with a USB cable attached to the laptop.Can someone advise me on what I need to do.Thank’s

    have you tried
    turn off the printer turn it back on?
    disconnecting the USB and reconnecting the USB to a different port?
    reboot the computer?
    What else have you attempted?
    Made sure that what was requested to the printed it gong to the printer and not someplace else?

      have tried turning the printer and PC off then tried the same this time I turned the router off as well Everything Imhave requested to be printed is in the print queue not sure what else to do.Thanks for the reply

        Go under your printer list and make sure that your printer is marked as default?

        When you print something what comes up as the device that it is being sent to?

        What does yours show?

          in Control Panel, Devices & Printers, when you double click your printer, in the menu toolbar, click Printer, is the Use Printer Offline ticked?
          failing that, I would be going into Programs & Features, uninstalling all Brother software, downloading the latest version from the Brother website and reinstalling the printer software.
