OK, so I have a dell 5480. Has been running perfectly without any issues until last week, it powered down switching itself off, and will not power back on. Iβve unseated everything and tried powering on, but still nothing, the power light on the charger is lit and the heat sink is heating up so there is power getting to the board it seems. Iβve tried the old wifeβs tale of the power button for 25 seconds and all the bull, but still no boot what so ever.

You may be getting power to the system it may not be getting to the display.
Try an external display (monitor) may have to wait to see if anything displays.
