Segate External Hard-drive Not showing up

So…I have a segate backup plus Portable Drive which has not been working since the month of October,2020. It doesn’t show up in this pc…even not in the disk management section (but it showed up in disk and drivers, that’s why i kept trying). I have tried different ports and cables. But it doesn’t work at all…but today i tried disabling the device…and then re-enabling it again…and luckily it showed up on the disk management section too …as a unallocated disk…i tried to allocate the drive but it wasn’t possible… options weren’t available…and a red mark is appearing in the section…but when i removed it again then it is gone again from the disk management. (Btw the light is not blinking but i can hear the sound of spinning and some clicking sound). Please help me with this…

No once that start to happen the drive will fail and or has failed.

You might try attaching it to another system and see if you can retrieve any of the data yet doubtful from what you have described.

It doesn’t show up in any device in the disk management…but unexpectedly it showed up naturally in a windows 7 system (in the disk management) ! donno how… and if it doesn’t work …what else is left to try ?

Only a data recover place could assist with that.

which is why we ALWAYS suggest more than one copy of data that you do not wish to loose.
