I bought an Asus Zephyrus GX701GWR about a year ago, and its been wonderful until 3 days ago, when I unplugged it (while the battery showed as 100% charger) and the laptop just went dead. I tried to power it back on but I could not, unless I connected it to the AC adapter. Thing is, I just used it on battery for 6 hours straight before it stopped working altogether, so the battery was absolutely fine the day before. I do not think it just died over night. I donβt have warranty anymore and here are the things I have already tried with no success: Reinstalling Windows, changing the power plan settings, reinstalling the battery drivers, re-seating the battery pins ( I had to open the laptop in order to do this ), running troubleshooters and updating everything from Windows to the BIOS. Have any suggestions? I donβt think changing the battery would solve the problem. Everything else works just fine, but I use this laptop for college as well and need it to work on battery.
Asus laptop won't turn unless I plug in the power chord.

That does sound like a battery problem which btw includes the actual charging circuit on the MB and the DC jack port.
Is the battery shown to be charging when you are using the notebook.

Speakers aside, if your battery is reading as fully charged but the notebook turns off as soon as disconnected from mains power two possible causes are a faulty battery or mainboard, the battery being the most likely culprit because the DC jack port and MBs charging system are obviously working.
